IAL-U actively sources and deploys international volunteers across various functions including administration, finance, curriculum development and program execution. A rigorous system matches the volunteer skills with the needs of our Institute. Beyond helping the IAL-U meet capacity needs the volunteers contribute to organizational learning and capacity building and expose students and staff to international perspectives. We value greatly the contributions of our volunteers and intend to continue to facilitate a strong level of collaboration with past and future participants in our volunteer program.

We need the help of volunteers to achieve a number of strategic priorities aligned with our mission statement.

We need volunteer assistance in a range of capacities to enhance our processes and operations including, but not limited to:

• Financial management - management of financial records, reporting, trends analysis, etc.
• Capacity building - design and execution of capacity building programs for government, public and non-governmental organizations.
• Marketing - update and implementation of marketing plan.
• Education - development of education materials and on-going provision of higher education curriculum.
• Practicum's - design and implementation of course practicum components that integrate our curriculum with important community volunteer projects.
• Strategy - assistance with the development of our strategic plan and affiliations with other institutions.
• Information technology - management of our information technology and intellectual property.
• Events management - assistance with our key marketing and community initiatives.

We are willing to accommodate volunteers in other capacities depending on their skills and interests. We can also arrange for your accommodation with a nearby family to fully experience the culture of Uganda.
